Tiring but nice weeks
Wow, I realize I have abandoned this blog for 2 weeks. Haha. I was quite busy with the research work, I feel my life was very hectic but fortunately now enjoying long weekend. Frankly, so many things happened this two weeks, from the extremely sad to a nice one. Ok let me elaborate one by one...

At first week (12 Dec) mama sms-ed me that one of my nephews died due to complicated ileus operation...He's Guntur, bi Tuti's son. I was really schocked, I conveyed my great condolence asap. He's so cute and cheeful. Bi Tuti must be very sad losing her only son...

Then 1 week after that I got even more complicated problem. Huh. I was banned from polymer lab forever during this parrtime. Yakh, banned! I was really sad at that time. Ok let me tell you what happen. On Monday (19/12) I used TGA for my bilayer stent samples, but I realized that the hook position was too high to reach the pan. My mistake was I didn't tell the technician. Who cares with those unfriendly technicians!. One of them likes to blame student even for a small mistake. Everyone in MSE lab also know how nasty and arrogant she is! Then another one dislikes to speak to others who are not familiar to him. I just feel uncomfortable. So unfair. Hence I just continued using the equipment until the 3rd time. But ooops, finally the hook bogged inside the furnace and it broke into 2 pieces. I was careless..but it's not my full mistake!!What the heck...! He told me it costs $1000, so to solve that I needed to write damage report to my supervisor. He also blamed me that I never attended any formal training for using this equipment. But did they provide it??Huh!And fortunately I was not FYP student otherwise I would not be able to use it anymore for the rest of my project. I was very very dissappointed with polymer lab. I hope I'll be more careful next year during FYP. But the most important part was I made Xia Yun become very dissappointed...so sorry.

In the opposite condition, biomaterials lab is very very nice place to do research. I really appreciate the technicians there, Serene and Nelson. They are extemely nice and passionate to help if I faced difficulties. No barrier between us, we are treated just like friends...I think this lab is the nicest and memorable place in MSE for me. They welcome me well. Haha the last but not least I'm included in one of their gang now. Haha. Yes there are some gangs inside the lab, but fortunately I join the biggest gang. Kidding2.

Last friday the biomat lab biggest gang (Lisa, Serene, Kee Pah, Xia Yun, Yong Dan, Joachim and some FYP students) celebrated Kee Pah's and Joachim birthday. It was so nice and fun. Actually it's supposed to be 26 Dec (same with Lay Poh b'day I think...), but it'll be too late coz 26 Dec was still holiday. We ate lunch together at The Quad the continued to the main event haha including taking photos. We have our own cameraman in biomat lab, hehehe. Here was the cake. It's so cute, got golden stars choco...but the taste was not that good. Serene said so, coz it's not made from fresh cream...

Before letting them cutting the cake, we sang B'day song in 3 languages hahaha. So funny. They were Chinese, English and Indonesian. For Indonesian one, Lisa, I and Inneke sang. Last but not least we took pictures...

Here is our Biomat Lab gang...

Kee Pah and Joachim before puffing the candles

But the craziest part was they needed to remove the candles by using their own mouths. Haha,so disgusting. Hahaha rare custom... In the end Lisa insisted to spread the cream to their faces huhuhuh.

Joachim's turn
Kee Pah's turn (aiyo...our cameraman's camera flashed mine)

Lisa insisted to spread the cream over...

Far apart from the joyous occasion above, I enjoyed the X-mas long weekend only staying at room and watching TV. I got so many things to do to clean my room. Actually I planned it long time a go, but no time to do. But now finished all...so comfortable. I think I need to buy vacuum cleaner asap, coz so many dust inside..even I seldomly open the door and window but it always comes...So happy now coz I got half day off from labwork and can continue to study for my GRE...wish me luck! Oya one more, regarding the exam results, I also want to say Alhamdulillah. I promised before to always say benediction for the results no matter how bad it is. Yes it's far from perfect but not that bad...Thanks.
