Maryam's farewell party - how nice a friendship is!
Well, hmm...I'm really so sorry for abandoning this blog (again) even longer time. Kekekek. The reason is must be coz I'm too busy. Thanks Fan to remind me! Another thing is I have no idea what to write! It will be so boring if I only write my daily hectic life or blabbering my vexation because of my so-called 'cold' environment Lab.

I realize doing IA is even more hectic that just normal studying (lectures, tutorials, labs). I need to wake up so early then spend most of my day-time in the lab and yeah reach my room at almost 7pm. So tired, even I'm unable to read something afterwards. I prefer to sit in Lecture Theater, eventhough it's much more stressful but I can manage my own time, no constraint at all.

OK ok back to the topic. Last Friday, we celebrated a farewell dinner for someone who's leaving our ICES company. Yeah don't misunderstand me, she is a good friend of mine. That's all. I was the organiser for the event and managed to get some of my colleagues to join this. So I supposed to post this blog thing since last week rite? hehehhe.

We planned to have our dinner at Sakura, a chinese-thai halal restaurant at Far East Plaza, but there was a misunderstanding between the female booking operator and Karen. In fact there are plenty of Sakura thing restaurants and she explained wrongly hence in the end I misbooked a restaurant! What a heck...But don't worry, we still had our dinner at the restaurant just 1 level below Sakura. It's called Nana, a thai halal restaurant. Overall the food was very nice and tempting, but a bit too spicy. Some photos are attached below.

me and Maryam- thanks for your nice handmade cheesecake

The food is tempting huh?

And we had our dessert at Gelare, an Italian low fat ice cream chain...What a perfect nite! Oops we're in 'what talking you' mode -Ronn's trademark :-)

Then the last thing I want to write is of course about my IA. First of all don't ever think I am a complainer or being too fuzzy, but just that I really want to speak up about this matter. Well, I have done my IA for about 12 weeks so far, which means I still have 10 weeks to go, but I realize Jurong Island generally and ICES especially is not a good place for me to work in the future. I think NTU which is 'less sophisticated' compared to ICES can provide me better environment to work in research, really! The best thing is NTU lab can give me unvaluable warmess and friendly environment to work. Well, I do not say that ICES is too bad place to work, but I cannot get the same feeling there. I like the research there, but not the so-called 'cold' environment. The one thing that can make me survive is our NTU student's corner, hahaha. I'm so luck to have you all as my friendly colleagues man! I think the only person I'm going to miss a lot after I finish my IA is my uncle-boss, how luck I am to have him as my boss...

Sometimes I was very vexed when working in that company. The people were oftenly too annoying in a certain extent. Do this wrong, do another one is also wrong. Hmm. I don't think I need to explain more about this, but it's too humiliating. Another thing is they seem look down to students whom they think are less capable to do their sophisticated researches. Even some of them seem never expect significant result from our job due to so-called maid-salary-student. Again that's somewhat humiliating! Hmm I really dislike this kind of people who always think that they are the smartest people on earth thus abasing people who are not that smart as them. What a heck! Come on, being a smart person means you have more responsibility to help weaker people...
